Week 4 - Social networking

Facebook - We created a facebook account today. It seems that you can spend a lot of time on this site. I added my sister Anna and I think she spends way to much time on her site.

My concern with facebook is that anyone can find you and your life seems like an open book. I prefer my privacy.

Google talk - I haven't used google talk but I have used Skype. Skype is great when you want to communicate with people all over the world. I have communicated with friends and family from New York to the Netherlands using this technology for free.

Week 3: YouTube, Podcasting and Overdrive

YouTube
YouTube is fun and certainly the clip I have included is very funny. I wouldn't spend alot of time on YouTube but my kids love it.




Podcasts
I also had a look at podcasts. These are great. I had a look at the ones on Nova 106.9.

Week 2: Flickr, del.icio.us and tagging

Here are my photos from flickr. I put in my birthday but sadly they were very 1970's or black and white. If I have learnt something today it is that we have come a long way with photography. So here are some photos of Gaudi's work in Spain. I love mosaics and his are amazing. One day I will go to Spain and see for myself. Tags used include Barcelona, Spain and Gaudi.

Today we have learnt about Flickr, del.icio.us and tagging. I have used these before and found them useful.

Week 1 - Blogging

Creating a blog is a very simple thing to do and I would recommend that everyone have a go at using this Web 2.0 technology. After our lesson I added information to my profile.
